The Smith Mansion in Wyoming.  Look it up.  I wish this picture did it justice, there's all kinds of porches and add-ons to the house, but apparently no one ever lived in it.

Here and There in Yellowstone

 This was the stealth-camping spot in Yellowstone...note that there's snow under my hammock, and it's July.

This was the group from South Korea that took us on a quick but comprehensive tour of the park.  Awesome people and I couldn't imagine a more fun way to go sightseeing!

Cody, WY

We stayed in Cody for the 4th of July.  As we were walking down the street one night we passed by the Lockhart Inn and started talking to people, ended up getting to stay in this sweet camper for a couple of nights....and, wait for it: a reporter for the Cody Enterprise wrote an article about us for the paper!

I also got to sleep in a tipi! (teepee? TP?)

Thermopolis, WY

This tunnel served as a nice camping spot out of the wind on the way into Thermopolis.

This church must have a problem with attendance if they need to advertise being open on Sundays...

Funny sign in the yard of a nice guy named John, a cowboy who let us stay at his house one night.

I'd recommend using punctuation or separation in the next sign...because a BBQ fish burger shake does not sound the least bit appetizing.

Casper, WY

Cotton floats through the air everywhere around here, looks like snow...

 

Met some of the nicest people ever at the Horseshoe Bar outside Casper.  They even let us camp outside the bar!  Since there are virtually no trees in WY, we had to get creative with the hammocks.

If you look closely, you can see a little bit of a rainbow.

Rapid City, SD

Encountered a terrible hail storm (not the clouds pictured above) in Rapid City while staying at Lazy J's RV Park.  We felt bad for everyone who suffered damage to their RVs and campers, so we spent a day helping out with cleaning and repairs, and also picked up glass and debris from the campsites.  They were nice enough to give us a free night there!
